and I'm a Sasquatch or if you'd like Bigfoot. I may be a bit on the smallish side for my kind but I make a perfect campanion for the little ones. Also it allows me to travel to places via the USPS. I'm hoping to relocate to Hawaii soon! ;)

Mother's Day cupcakes

These are some chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing I made for Mother's Day! I used the family favorite Townhouse Special Chocolate Cake and then using my leaf tip made a bunch of flower petals to go on top! Mom thought they were beautiful and tasted delish!

St. Patrick's cake

I know it's a been awhile because I've been hassled every day to get the blog updated! So this is a start...I made this vanilla cake with white chocolate icing for St. Patrick's day. A bit plain, yes, but I didn't have a lot of time. It was a good cake, but not the best we've ever had. Hope you all have a sweet day!

When is a banana not a banana...

When it's a tulip! LOL, ok so when I was looking at my Sweet November Banana Fairy I thought she looked like one of my tulips that are blooming outside now. Of course I had to give the transformation a try, and with a little help from my altering teacher, I think I pulled it off...anyway I'm happy with her.

I was able to make this card for two challenges, a first for me, the ATS Wednesday Challenge and the Flutterby Challenge.

Another ATS Challenge

I think these Pure and Innocence images by Heather Ellis are just the sweetest and was so happy when All That Scraps got them in to their store. As soon as I received it I knew I wanted to use it in this week's ATS Challenge, use dots and stripes. So here is my finished card, I think I'll send it to my sister.

It may not be pretty...

Ok, it's rather plain, but it does taste delicious! Not only did I try Buddy's Cream Cheese Pound Cake I also tried his Simple Buttercream Frosting. Though the frosting was not my favorite, the others liked it a lot. So these two recipes will go into my notebook as keepers, and I'm up in the air on what recipe to try next. My first Challenge...

All That Scraps has a challenge every Wednesday and this week I decided to participate for the first time and made this card. It was a recipe challenge, I had to use 4 embellishments, 3 papers, 2 colors and 1 image. I knew I wanted to use Sweet November's Ginger fairy and some Sweetwater paper, so after going through my papers I found ones that I liked and would work. So the colors were picked for me. With this being only the second time using Copics I received some help in matching colors and the shading of the image, I love having a private tutor! I love how the card came out and it's my favorite to date, never mind it's only my second card! ;)

Valentine's Day Cupcakes

I made Red Velvet Cupcakes with cream cheese icing for our Valentine's treat. I was pretty happy with how they turned out and everyone said they were delicious.

For my next project I want to make Buddy's (TLC's Cake Boss) Cream Cheese Pound Cake. So until then... have a sweet day, week, month! :)
